Code Red is not only a collection of vegan red lipsticks, but also a call to action focused on the period poverty pandemic. 8% of Code Red sales are donated to organizations providing women with free menstruation kits, along with menstrual health educational seminars. As a brand dedicated to global inclusivity, we have chosen to focus on different territories around the world every year. For the first year since our Code Red launch, our sales supported communities in India and Pakistan through the support of our partners on the ground: Her Ground and FabPad. This year, we are focusing on a new territory, Kenya, with the help of our wonderful partner PadMad.

PadMad is a social enterprise based in Kenya that works on addressing period poverty by providing a sustainable solution. We introduce Menstrual Health Management (MHM) and Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) education to underprivileged and marginalised communities. Our products are biodegradable, affordable, long-lasting and sustainable, and we are committed to environmental responsibility. Additionally, our pads are stitched in rural Kenyan communities, using locally produced materials, creating employment for marginalised women.
